Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from regular image-to-image?

Regular image-to-image regenerates the whole picture, so untouched parts may drift. Inpainting repaints only the boxed area and preserves everything outside it. Use it when you need one precise change, like a single number in a chart.

Can it edit text and numbers inside an image?

Yes — that is the most common use. Draw the box around the text, then describe the replacement. Make the box slightly larger than the text and mention "keep the same font and color" for best results.

Does the area outside the selection really stay unchanged?

Almost always: content, layout, and text outside the selection are preserved, though the AI re-renders the output so imperceptible micro-differences are possible. One exception to watch: the thing your instruction describes must actually be inside the box. If it is not in the box but does appear elsewhere (say you write "change 29 to 30" but the 29 sits outside your box), the AI may edit that outside spot instead. Double-check your box covers the target.

Can I use the result commercially?

The output is yours to use for social media, reports, posters, or commercial work. Make sure you have the rights to the image you upload.
